「WE嘩藍屋」第一期復修開幕禮 暨 慈善盆菜宴2016

聖雅各福群會為慶祝「WE嘩藍屋」第一期復修竣工開幕,並為推動本土文化保育籌募服務經費,將於2016年5月6日(五) 在景星街空地(灣仔藍屋建築群空地)舉行首個「慈善盆菜宴」。各界人士有機會置身鬧市的歷史建築群中品嚐傳統風味盆菜之餘,還可參與藍屋建築群活化的階段性進展,既為慈善出力兼可獲贈限量版「藍屋」紀念品。

當晚場內將設有精彩表演及慈善奬券義賣,參加者更可即場報名參加「WE嘩藍屋」導賞團,親身見證全港首個「留屋留人」活化計劃的誕生過程。 盆菜宴將於黃昏六時十五分開始入席,限量筵開十二席(每席十位)。一班藍屋居民及灣仔街坊亦特別為活動主理特色餐飲和小食,與一眾善長同為保育出力。

“Viva Blue House” Phase I Revitalization Soft Opening cum Charity Dinner

    Invitation – Join us for this Joyous Occasion


In order to celebrate the phase I soft opening of the "Viva Blue House", and to raise funds for local cultural preservation, St. James' Settlement is going to held the first charity dinner at the open space at King Sing Street, Wan Chai (The Blue House Cluster Open Space) on 6th May 2016 (Friday). Participants can not only enjoy the traditional Chinese pun-choi in the historical cluster of the city, but can also take part in various ways in this milestone of the revitalization project. A "Blue House" souvenir in limited edition will be given to each participant for memorizing this joyous occasion.

Wonderful performances and charity raffle ticket sale are specially arranged for the night. By joining the "VBH Tour" that open for on-site registration, participants can witness the born of this pilot revitalization scheme that "retains both the residents and the building" in Hong Kong. The charity dinner will starts at 6:15pm with a limited seat of 12 tables only (a table for ten). A group of Blue House residents and Kai-fong of Wan Chai are happy to contribute the event by offering some catering.

For general public who have contributed a designated amount of donation will be invited to join this exclusive event, organization and corporate sponsorship is also welcomed.

Viva Blue House is co-worked by 4 organizations, including: St. James’ Settlement, Community Cultural Concern, Heritage Hong Kong Foundation and Blue House Resident Rights Group, it’s the first project of its kind, a constantly evolving story on local culture, a demonstrative research and educational tool, a beacon for sustainable communities to come. The project’s mission is to conserve Hong Kong’s living heritage: to encourage people to share their time, skills and experience to benefit both themselves and others and, by doing so, to conserve a community way of living that is relevant to and valued by future generations.
